About the artist: Daniela Sipkova-Mahoney was born in Prague, Czech Republic. As a child she was taught by her grandmother how to decorate traditional Easter eggs with hot wax. She returned to the art of egg decorating when she moved to the United States in 1982. She has developed unique designs for varying tastes. She has traveled to many Czech and Slovak communities to teach traditional crafts.
Daniela's folk art is her true passion that brings joy and excitement to her life in the US. She and her husband live in Portland, Oregon. |
